DESIGN CHALLENGE

Use dynamic type, image, and message in a visually engaging way to design 3, 18” x 28” promotional Balboa Park Earth Day posters. These should create excitement for one of the largest Earth Day events in the U.S. Think of the user experience for this diverse earth caring audience.

SOLUTION

In order to really connect with the core meaning of the EarthFair, there were two main design choices made to convey this. First, the color schemes used for each poster were not only taken directly from nature, but were taken directly from photos from Balboa Park connecting both the location and event. Second, the type was aligned circularly  to represent the Earth itself to further drive home the theme of nature.
